In case you missed it: the Springboks received a heart-warming send-off in Sandton this afternoon and they certainly looked touched and inspired from what I saw on SuperSport – kudos to the people of Johannesburg who came out in full force to show their support!

(Oh, and how beautiful is our world-class Gautrain? Still gives me goosebumps every time I take it!)

I’m pretty bummed to have missed out on being part of the occasion (I was in studio at MNET rehearsing for Studio1 which went out live at 19:30 tonight), but now I’m even more excited about getting to New Zealand to experience the tournament on the ground!

There are only 7 days and 10 hours left until kick-off in the land of the Long White Cloud and while the growth in support for the Bokke is on a steep upward curve here in SA, this video also serves as a friendly reminder of just what kind of support we’re up against over there.
